CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is a health science in its own right, which relies on the human body's ability to maintain good health, without resorting to drugs or surgery.

The chiropractic philosophy encompasses the notion of education and empowerment of the individual, who must take active and preventive part in his health and well-being.

Chiropractic science
The human body is a machine of phenomenal intelligence and above all, innate. The basic notions of chiropractic are therefore based initially on the good communication of this system, which allows the body's nerve impulses to circulate and thus control and adequately supply each of the cells, tissues and systems of the body, thus ensuring its balance. If this balance, called homeostasis, is altered, the result is a disruption of the nervous system which can cause health problems. Based on clinical experiences and scientific research, chiropractic uses in-depth knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and neurology of the human body to maximize the health potential of its patient.

Chiropractic art
One of the major causes of nervous system dysregulation is the misalignment and lack of mobility of one or more vertebrae of the spine, called vertebral subluxation. The art of chiropractic refers to the different techniques that the doctor of chiropractic can use to restore proper joint function and thereby relieve pressure and irritation of the nervous system. Restoring joint mobility allows the body to return to its normal functioning state. The adjustment made by the chiropractor to correct the vertebral subluxation requires great dexterity as well as an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy.

Chiropractic can optimize the performance of the neuro-musculoskeletal system, making your physical and mental well-being a priority.

The course of your first visit consists of:

  • Meeting with the chiropractor for a consultation to better understand the exact nature of your health problem.

  • This will be followed by a complete examination which, depending on your condition, will consist of checking your range of motion in the region concerned, postural analysis, palpation of your spine or other joints, orthopedic and neurological tests if necessary.

  • Following the examination, the chiropractor will determine if it is necessary to take x-rays to complete his work.

INTENSIVE/ PALLIATIVE CARE

There is intensive care which aims to quickly restore your physical autonomy. This care, depending on the case, is of short duration and is palliative in nature to relieve you.

CORRECTIVE CARE

There is corrective care which aims to gradually improve the cause (if it falls within our competence) of your health problem. During the duration of this type of care, there is periodic reassessment in order to measure and check the progress.

MAINTENANCE CARE

For people who do not want to lose the corrective care work they have done.

PREVENTIVE CARE FOR THE FAMILY

For patients who are concerned about wanting to preserve better biomechanical functioning of their spine, it is possible to have periodic follow-ups according to your needs. As at the dentist, you can start young to consult preventively and maintain your health, instead of waiting for the appearance of physical symptoms. This type of care is a direct consequence of your physical demands implied by your lifestyle: sports fall, poor posture at work, bad wearing of a backpack, neck texting, stress...

Chiropractic Adjustment

Chiropractors practice several adjustment techniques according to your needs.

In particular the following 3 methods:

  • The specific adjustment that is practiced in the region of the upper cervical vertebrae does not require twisting or rough manipulation. Everyone can therefore benefit from it without fear, regardless of age.

  • Diversified adjustment involves taking care of the entire spine as well as the peripheral joints.

  • The adjustment with an Activator or IQ Impulse Technology consists of adjusting the vertebrae with a small device that provides a rapid impulse. This method is very suitable for those who are afraid of manual adjustment. We also use it to fit babies as it allows for smooth adjustments. + photos adjustment

Postural Assessment

Using digital photographs of your posture, we can give you sound advice to improve your posture on a daily basis, at work. Also advise you on specific exercises to help you correct your postural imbalances. We also use this approach to objectively measure your postural improvements.
